Our looms

Woven in Surat on jacquard looms

Jakado weaves its Kora silk sarees in Surat, on jacquard looms.

Jakado is a manufacturer, not a trader: the sarees are machine woven at our own factory in Pipodara. See the factory and process, or read why wholesale buyers choose Jakado.

FAQ

Questions about Kora silk sarees

Is Kora silk the same as the Kovai Kora cotton saree?

No. The Registry lists Kovai Kora Cotton Sarees as a separate registered name from Tamil Nadu. Jakado’s Kora silk is its own range, woven in Surat on jacquard looms, and it is not sold under that name.

Which machines weave the Kora silk range?

European-technology jacquard machines. Jakado’s sarees are woven on them at our own factory in Pipodara, Surat.
